Final Activity!

Hi again... Today I have to talk about my experience as a blogger during the English classes.
I have to say that, in all my life, I never have a blog before and I never comment in one, but I known this system. The English class activity is the first time that I write a blog.

I think that I am good writing and I like to do it but I don't like English so much and I think that I am not an expert doing this so, when I write in English I can't do it smoothly so I don't like it. Is for this personal reason that I don't like the idea that I have to write my own blog in English.
I don't know if I would start my own blog, because I don't like to show myself to the others, I just do it with my friends, I am an introverted person. If I want to say something to others I like to do it to the face. I think that the actions say more than the words.

In spite of the things that I say before, I think that is a good activity to practice the writing English, but is a little bit boring made it all the classes :( we should see some movies in English! Be a blogger all Wednesday is tiring... I would change the activities, specifically on the second class time, there is a lot of activities we could do, something more dynamic!

Good bye blog! :O

Chile

Hi again! Today I have to talk about Chile, the country where I was born.
I have mixed feelings about Chile, so is a little bit hard for me try to explain how I feel here. I think that if we talk about the scenery, flora and fauna of that country I can say that I love it. Chile is a country with a lot of natural resources and a lot of natural beauty, we can find desert, forest, sea, mountains, valleys and icefields. Sometimes people don't know that Chile have all that beauty and prefer travel to other countrys. I think that this is the thing that I love of Chile. Also, I love latinoamerica so I am proud to be from a Latin American country. In that way Chile had many cultures in the past, some of these are dissapeared and other still alive, fighting against the discrimination.
On the other hand there are some thing that I don't like about that country. I think that most people are "cold" and arrogants, without conscience of their real origins. Chile is a country that strives to follow foreign models, ignoring the own. I would change this introducing culture conscience on the chilean people.
I have been in another countrys, Argentina and Brasil. I think that the principal difference between these countrys and Chile is that our neighbors are so much considered with their native cultures, and they protect them, not destroy them.
I think that the other countrys see Chile like an undeveloped country, with a lot of riches that they can still (talking about contrys like EEUU)
The part of Chile that I most like to live in is the south of these country, because is just beautiful with a lot of splendid natural parts, mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, etc. I love the south of Chile, people is different there.

Anne & Xalpen

Today I have to talk about an anthropologist that I like. I really don't know so much anthropologist yet, because I am in my first year of the career and, at the moment, I just know the classical authors. But I decide to talk about Anne Chapman.

Chapman was born in 1922,France and she died 2010,USA. She was a famous anthropologist thanks to her ethnographical works with natives from Tierra del Fuego, Chile and Argentina, specially with Selk'nam. Her life with Selk'nams started in 1964 and she wrote books and filmed documentaries about her experiences and about the way of life of these culture.

I can't say that I love her but I really like the work that she could do because she was the last foreign person who lived with Selk'nams, she had the opportunity to know the last real Selk'nam: Angela Loij. Also, she documented the traditions of these comunity of hunters-collectors and thanks of her now we can know a little bit more of these culture because, today, Selk'nam doesn't exist.

I really like Selk'nam culture but they were wiped out by the colonizing forces. Because of that I think that read Anne Chapman's work is an act to remember our past and our real origin.

In that picture we can see Anne Chapman (to the left) with Angela Loij (to the right) the last Selk'nam.

Mike Patton

Hello! Today I am going to talk about my favorite music artist... I don't have one favorite artist so it was a little bit difficult. I think on Spinetta, Sid Barrett, Cerati and others but i decided to choose Mike Patton.

His name is Michael Allan Patton and he born in 1968 at California. He is a singer, composer, producer, actor and plays a lot of instruments. He is known for been the principal singer of the band: FAITH NO MORE but he plays in other bands like: Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, Fantomas, Escape Plan, and others... His career as a musician started when He was only 17 years old with Mr. Bungle, when he was a "rebel teenager".

I like him because he can play and sing a lot of music styles like alternative rock, funk, jazz, trip hop, noise, punk, etc. In one song he is aggressive and other he is romantic, he screams and then mutters... He is very diverse and versatile on his music. I will show you that later, when I public two different songs of him. And also, i think he is very cute specially when he was young, like in the picture that I publish.

In one opportunity he, with Faith no More, came to Chile to the Viña's Festival. It was like one or two years after the dictatorship finished. They played their music and the public started to jump and scream with them, it was like people expressed all the repression that they lived on dictatorship time. Personally, I see him in one opportunity on a concert with their group Tomahawk, last year. It was amazing and I was happy for days.

There is a song of him with Faith No More, one of my favorites, I hope you like it ! Faith No More - Evidence

Untameable

Hi, its me again... this class I am going to talk about my favorite photograph. Choose one photograph and say that it is my favorite is a little bit difficult for me, because I really like photography and I know a lot of pictures that I like, some of these photographs were taken by my friends and others by professional photographer.
For my blog I choose one of the 2013's betters pictures. This picture was taken by the professional photographer Daniel Etter-Redux, in 2013 in Istanbul, Turkey when the country was in the middle of a lot of protests. The picture shows a young man who is on top of a lot of rubbish and he is dress all of black. He is covering his face and he has a flag of his country. On the back we can see a lot of people that are escaping.
I really like this picture because it show us a catastrophic image, a nation under the effects of the repression and control, people who are silence by the force. But in the middle of this oppression exists some people who don't put their hands down and always keep the flags up, they are symbols of hope and eternal fight.
I hope you like this photograph like me, good bye !

Cartoons!

Hello, it's me again. This week I am going to talk about my favorites Cartoons. When I was a child watched a lot of cartoons and some of them are: Pokemon, Digimon, Sailor moon, the triplets, Powerpuff girl, and anothers. I watched these cartoons when I was a little girl and today I don't watch too much TV, so I usually don't watch cartoons. Sometimes I watch cartoons with my little brother, but the "modern" cartoons are very differents if we compare with the cartoons that I used to watch.
I like pokemon and digimon because that cartoons show you a fantastic world with strange creatures that you just could see on your imagination, and the characters create a special relationship with that creatures.
Sailor moon and powerpuff girls are the all little girl's wish, have powers and figth for the "justice" and being always "feminine" (now I don't have that wish but I used to have it when I was a little girl). The triplets show you the normal life of three little sisters who have a lot of adventures in their home, just using their imagination.
When I was little, I watched the cartoons when I arrived to my home from the kindergarden, it was the best part of the day. But today, I dont have too much time to watch cartoons :(
I dont have a favorite character on Pokemon and the triplets, but in Digimon my favorite was "gatomon", in the powerpuff girls my favorite was "Bellota" and in Sailor moon my favorite was "Sailor Mars".
These cartoons have different themes and topics but all of them show you fantastic's world full of adventures, and that was really exiting.

Nikonista

Hi, it's me again! This time I am going to talk about my favorite piece of technology. After think a lot this question I decide that my favorite technology piece is my photography camera, it is a "Nikon d3000", a reflex and semi-professional. This camera has a 18-55mm lens. I got this camera for my last birthday, when i turned eighteen years old and recently I bought another lens for this camera, a zoom with 55-200mm of focal distance.
This camera is very delicate, I have to have very careful with the lenses, filters, screen, flash, etc. Because the pieces of the camera are very sensible and very expensive to change or fix, so I am extremely careful when I use my camera. I don't leave the camera out of my backpack or in dirty places and I also can't leave the camera on places that are hot or cold.
I use the camera all the time. When frequency I take my camera and go out of my house on my bike and i can spend all day taking pictures because i think that -if we look well- we can find the beauty everywhere and sometimes we can find things that surprise us.
I like the camera because it is a tool that permit me capture the images of the world. In my camera i can have sadness, happiness, beauty, ugliness, love, hate, etc. And when i see the pictures again I can feel that emotions.
I think that my life would be very boring without my camera... My camera is a way to connect me with my space and is a tool that help you to remember.
Now I will show you an image of my camera and one picture taken for me.
